Lindsay created Shalom Social Club to fill a gap in Jewish social programming for adults seeking connection beyond formal synagogue settings. As a Jewish educator, facilitator, and proud Jew-by-Choice, she centers accessibility, identity inclusion, and community-building in every SSC initiative.
Michael supports SSC’s logistics, programming development, and hospitality. He is often the first friendly face new members meet and plays a key role in maintaining SSC’s warm, low-barrier culture.
Todd manages SSC’s financials—accounting, budgets, and event costs.
Ilana and Sara advise on messaging, cultural competency, and event structure, ensuring SSC remains a welcoming and affirming space for LGBTQ+ members and others navigating complex Jewish identities.
Stephen provides insight into the needs of single members—especially men—and supports coordinating Arts & Music programs for SSC.
Katie takes the lead in making meanginful opportunities for tzedakah and connection with monthly volunteer planning.
Shelbie fosters women’s community within SSC, organizing gatherings from Galentine’s events to creative workshops, and leads the SSC Book chat to support deeper conversation and connection.
Yuriy builds bridges with SSC’s Russian-speaking members and emerging Eastern European Jewish community. He also leads SSC’s Pickleball Team, coordinating practices, social play, and beginner-friendly coaching—bringing both athletic energy and cultural connection to the group.
SSC’s leadership team is united in cultivating:
• Belonging over exclusivity
• Connection over performance
• Identity inclusion over gatekeeping
• Accessible, joyful Jewish community for all
We proudly serve Jews—and Jew-adjacent friends—who are searching for meaningful community, cultural celebration, and genuine relationships.
